Hi thwack folks
Can somebody help me out... I trying to filter the All Applications Tree to only show nodes in a specific group.
In this case we have an overview of all SQL Servers in our environment, but I would like to filter that list to only show nodes in the group "Production SQL Servers".
In noticed when you click on edit in the All Applications Tree, you get the option to filter with SWQL.
But I have no idea what to enter in the Filter setting to only show nodes from the group "Production SQL Servers".
Thanks in advanced
Thanks guys, as I said I am new to Solarwinds ... Actually I solved it by getting familiar with the magic of custom properties and and I am assigning custom properties to each node and I am able to filter based on the custom properties. I have removed the group as a consequence...
Can you create a custom property for those nodes say for example call it subplot. Then assign the term Production SQL Servers to that property.
Then under the filter you can say Subplot = Production SQL Servers
