I am looking for advice or documentation on how to setup an alert for a specific ID. We have a custom written application that is writing to a custom event log under applications and services. They want email generated every time a specified event id is generated. Based on the event ID I will need to email different groups. I am struggling with a custom application because it will always show down.
Has anyone done this before and if so can you please provide suggestions.
