Ephemeral Ports in Windows

Is there a method with SAM to monitor the number of dynamic \ ephemeral ports in use on a Windows 2012 R2 server?

Running netstat gives the information, but I want to trend this over time and detect any port exhaustion or memory leak issues,

Any ever experiment with either the WMI or SNMP "TCP Connections" template? I just assigned this template to two of my MS Remote Desktop Services servers to watch ephemeral port usage. I was wondering if anyone had any experience or lessons they'd might like to share.
