Configure a SAM web site monitor on a node in Solarwinds

We have a number of web servers. The servers are already in Solarwinds and are being monitored. We have a generic website monitor set up in SAM. Is there way to have the node in Solarwinds twice, basically once using the DNS name and once using the website name? It would make things a lot more clear when looking at the list of web monitors on a dashboard.

  • Can we see a screenshot of how the dashboard is configured?

This I believe, is a problem with how you must create a separate template for every URL in order to manage them and display them like you are wanting.

This is a huge issue for us as using SAM for URL monitoring is painful since you cannot put components into Unmanaged Mode, but a whole entire template. So if you have 1000 URLs to monitor like we do, we gave up and used AlertBot instead of SAM for URL monitoring.
