Can Orion monitor Disk Consolidation in VMware?

Is Orion (i.e. VMAN) capable of monitoring VMware for guests needing Disk Consolidation? If so, how? I am hoping to monitor this as the "disk consolidation needed" condition causes some headaches with backups and if I had a way to monitor for that, it could help us quite a bit.

Did you ever get an answer to this, it seems to be one of the most recent posts about VMware disks consolication? Something that we want to be able to monitor

There's a vmware alarm for this, vmware alarms flag vm-layer statuses, so it'll show up there.

That said, that solution is bad because other alarms exist.

Not clear to me what the "best" solution would be.
