Active Directory Replication Checks

Afternoon All,

I'm currently looking to simplify our morning checks process, one of which is AD Replication Checks.

I've noticed that there's a few conversations already raised on Thwack regarding this, but none of them really seem to have reached their end goal.

Just wondering if anyone's successfully setup AD Replication monitoring in SolarWinds yet, or if somebody could advise on whether it'd be possible and how to go about it?

Hi. I have used two of the scripts for replication that I have found on thwack and found them to equally effective in terms of detecting an issue.

Maybe I'm not understanding the question, but wouldn't SAM 6.8 AppInsight for AD handle this?

I'm seeing AD Replication Summary and Failed Replications as Widgets right on the Summary page. I haven't tried setting alerts on these, but I would think it's possible.

I was operating under the belief that the person had not updated to latest and greatest SAM.

Oh, so I take it tdowns comment wouldn't be applicable in SAM 6.7.1?
Bit disappointing really considering we've only had SolarWinds since the start of this year.

If you just recently purchased you should have the 6.8 bits available to you in your customer portal. Upgrading is a relatively easy process.

I'll second this. New features are coming onboard fairly frequently, so getting used to the upgrade process is a good idea. BTW, it is WAY easier than it used to be and is not something to be feared.
