Here are some of the new features you've been waiting for in APM 4.2:

Maybe I'm not looking in the right place but where is the new SSL Certificate Expiration Date monitor located? Can't seem to find it in the templates unless its mistagged.

You are correct, there is no out of the box template. You need to create your own template or add this monitor to existing template manually

This SSL Check is great. Can you provide some more info on how to set up the thresholds?
For example, can we would like to use Warning threshold to specify if the cert is within x days of expiring and we want to use Critical threshold to alert when it has expired. What values do we populate in those fields?

you want to set the statistical value to be equal or less than
so say warning at 30 (days) and critical at 15 (days)
