Support two-factor authentication

Support two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication should be supported to allow improved security. I may want to have hidden URLs pinged, which I don't want anyone getting access to with my username/password.

Agreed! 2FA should also be supported on Orion as a whole. That and adding the ability to encrypt report emails.

@ThomasArdal & @alansmith Thank you both for your feedback. I am hoping you all can help me answer a few questions.

  1. For the site you all are monitoring that has 2FA, is it using an SSO of any kind?
  2. If so, what is the SSO? Okta? Google? Microsoft? Other?
  3. Does the site support "Aunthenticator" apps as a 2FA method? like "Google Authenticator", "Last Pass Authenticator", "Microsoft Authenticator"

My site that I was supporting was an internal 2FA that read DOD authentication smart card certs. We had to build specific AD user groups for the site to authenticate a user with then build a separate secondary website for reports to run on. There are not external authentication sso services allowed to be used.

@katieb No problem. My counter parts and I are thinking about writing a white paper on our experiences with building 2fa for our build out.
