We use ours with Microsoft Configuration Manager and for this use I would not recommend it. It is not as easy or as "clean" of an integration as one would think.
However, I can see where it can definitely add a nice feature set onto a standard WSUS environment.
If I wouldn't have just spent months trying to perfect my ConfigMGR patching process I would honestly utilize Patch Manager as a tool.
Can I ask what you are wanting from it?
I am currently using WSUS and need an automated solution with better functionality.
Just need a solution that work to patch machine in an effective way.
Looked at SCOM but to much functionality that we wouldnt touch and wasnt cost effective.
Ok, I will recommend patch manager then
Some of the third party patches it claims to do still require some "leg work" but other than that I feel it will make a great add-on to your wsus environment. (for reasons i stated above).
