Configuring J-Flow (First Time)

What model are you trying configure flow on?

On the 4200 it's SFlow

set protocols sflow collector x.x.x.x
set protocols sflow collector udp-port 5600
set protocols sflow interfaces ge-0/0/0.0
set protocols sflow polling-interval 20
set protocols sflow sample-rate 1000

We've got J-6350's running JUNOS 8.5.  I tried those commands but sflow wasn't available.

Looks like Juniper licenses J-flow for an additional charge per device.

We have the licenses installed and they show that they're available.

Thanks for the post.  I think I found that before and it doesn't work, that guide is for the E-Series router not the J-Series.  I was striking out finding documentation for the J-Series.
