Most of our network devices are connected via management ports which are linked to out of band switch, a failure in this switch will cause NPM to indicate failure of all devices that are connected to the management switch.
I know that I can create dependency to the management switch but its dangerous because it will suppress the alert in case of true failure
I though about adding a secondary address so that if the primary address is not responding it will poll the secondary
