Hello all,
There seems to be limited alerting / reporting that one can provide in the body of an alert from syslog alerting or snmp traps.
On the other hand, SNMP polling can provide a great deal of information in the body of an alert.
However.. SNMP polling is not realtime where as syslog/snmptraps are, or as close to real time as possible.
Is it possible to have an action for a syslog message or trap, to trigger solarwinds to poll the node for the specific message.
I believe this would give detailed snmp based alerts and be closer to realtime ?
