Please Integrate Geolocation into Network Atlas

Recently I imported all of my Lat/Long date into a world map which is awesome, I can see where all of my locations are and even get fancy with some custom reports and filter by device types

and see whats down and where... and you can zoom in and out!...  but that's only half of what I would like.

In Network Atlas I can create really cool network maps that show all of my layer 3 connections with links and show the live utilization on all of them, totally awesome! ... but....

What I would really like to have is a combination of both. I would like to be able to have a map that placed the devices on it according to their GeoLocation, is zoomable and lets me

connect the layer 3 dots together and links that show the current utilization between the layer 3 links.

  • If this idea would integrate Network Atlas & Network Topology Mapper we could have an auto-layout, zoomable map with auto and manual links supporting thousands of transits and endpoints. If you take it a step further, a L2 map could show all the physical connectivity and a dedicated L3 map would allow zooming to show resilient configurations of switches while still allowing for the zoom out to show the intercontinental links.

This geographic + logical dynamic connectivity with zoomable view is available in some other manufacturers products and is often the last remaining "advantage" of the foreign product.

I'd vote for this twice if I could emoticons_happy.png
