Would like to see some sort of poller redundancy within Solarwinds. Perhaps an N+1 scheme where if a poller fails, the redundant poller takes over the load of that poller. Or maybe a way to distinguish polling options per node within the SQL database. For example:
Polling engine for Node 1:
1) a specific poller (ex. ABC). If poller ABC fails, then Node 1 gets polled by a redundant (N+1) polling engine.
2) least active poller; effectively load balancing across all active polling engines
3) a defined list by order. ABC should poll Node 1, but if it fails then XYZ should poll Node 1.
