Network Atlas orphaned and unknown objects or maps report

Hi guys,

I understand that Network Atlas will not automatically remove a nodes, objects or maps from a Map. This would break maps easily if you're not careful or don't know what you're doing.

However, it is extremely confusing, irritating and time consuming to have to dig through and clean all of your maps manually every time a node, object or map has been deleted or replaced - especially if you've got more than a hundred Maps!

There is no way to do this efficiently in a speedy way. I am therefore suggesting that the next Network Atlas include a report of orphaned, unknown objects or maps that one could use to proactively maintain Maps.

Here's how it could be done:

Network Atlas does a list Nodes and Maps operation during startup or by manually executing a "sync" to report on non-existing nodes, object or maps that have been used in a map, AND display where these objects have been used.

Example:

ObjectTypeIsDeletedDateTimeLocation
CORE-01.solarwinds.netNodeTrue02-02-2013MAP:Core Site Overview
Port 0/5 - FC port 0/5InterfaceTrue01-01-2014MAP:SAN Overview; Storage Map; Storage Map Detailed
Sandbox Network OverviewMapTrue02-02-2014

MAP:NOC Overview

It would be awesome if the location definition was hot linked in a way to the actual map.
