Network Atlas OFFLINE MODE

Hi,

Whenever 3 or more users are using Network Atlas simultaneously, the server that you are connected to starts to peak in resource consumption. This is the case whether connecting to the Primary Polling Engine or Additional Web Server(s).

Not only does the resource consumption rise uncontrollably, but the server becomes unresponsive and ultimately crashes if say 4-5 users are connected simultaneously.

Of course, the application itself becomes unresponsive when using it on your own client machine and eventually crashes.

4-5 users using Network Atlas at the same time should not be a problem. We have a dozen users wanting to connect and use Network Atlas, but that task they have been handed, has been taken away from them from fear of crashing the server.

Server is very well spec'd, this is not the issue. We have several hundred maps, all being used and are expected to be updated regularly but this is proving to be extremely difficult to do.

I am therefore suggesting an offline mode for Network Atlas, where you would be able to save a copy of the maps repository locally and work on it later, offline. You would then be able to sync data with the database once online again and have a report on the changes you are about to apply.

Combine that with session control where you could define max Network Atlas sessions AND display who is currently using Network Atlas if the queue is full and you are attempting to use it.

Thanks for reading.
