NPM - SNMP Credential Profiles

Would like to see NPM have a method of defining credential profiles for SNMP.  Currently there is a "Manage SNMPv3 Credentials", but where do I create a “Default” connection profile for SNMPv2c?  I would expect something similar to the NCM settings for CLI access (i.e.  “Global Device Defaults”, “Connection Profiles”).  But I don’t see that for SNMP access/credentials.  Right now when I add new nodes, I have to key it in each time or press the down arrow.  I would have expected to see something like a dropdown list where it would use Default 1st, but allow me to specify a different credential profile for SNMP.  Perhaps even credentials in an order list where auto discovery would use them in a specified order.

Perhaps to be a little more clear, I was hoping for something more like Cisco's Smartnet TotalCare CSP Collector which has a Device credentials manager where you can create different profiles for different a) protocols/transports, user accounts, and targets and order them by preference.  Below are screenshots to better illustrate:

  • You do know when you do discovery you can reorder the the order and edit the list of community strings I assume?
