Hardware monitoring support for HP Aruba switches

Hardware monitoring support for HP Aruba switches

We have HP Aruba 3810M and 5400R series switches. I would like to see basic hardware monitoring showing CPU, memory, and temperature probes. We had a solarwind consulting engineer to look at it, it seems very complicated. The custom pollers they created does not integrate into the node summary page and can only get hardware warning with no specific on what's the warning is about.

Seriously, this needs to get added!!!  We are moving from Cisco to Aruba and suck that we are losing this visibility into these awesome switches...

Seriously Everybody is dropping Cisco ,ISP are not customers for years same for major DC’s

Now the enterprise ...

Solarwinds is getting even more attractive when it’s open to Aruba   extreme networks (extrem Avaya &brocade)...

I have the same thing.  We've had an Aruba 3810M Layer 3 switch for a few months, and while NPM seems to see everything, and there appears to be nothing missing, I get an undefined error and says it cannot poll the hardware.  Not sure what is missing, but I've opened up a support ticket with Solarwinds.  I will try and remember to post a resolution if I can get one.

It would also be nice to track POE usage

Is there any official word from SolarWinds on suporting newer Aruba Devices? We had used Procurve(now Aruba) switches for quite some time and did not previously have issues with hardware health monitoring. Given the lack of support for the newer firmwares we are having to investigate alternative monitoring solutions as SolarWinds is quickly becoming less useful for me. I understand that the MIBs may have changed locations, but there should be no reason that SolarWinds can't make this work properly. I would be more than happy to provide whatever documentation or troubleshooting it takes to recover this functionality.
