Group and interface maintenance mode

Maintenance mode is great. I can select one, many, or all nodes and set them to maintenance mode and effectively mute all node alerts. However, what would be 1000 times better is if there were built in dependencies for that. For example, if I put a router in maintenance mode and reboot it, the neighboring switch sends an alert saying that it's interface to X node went down. I'm aware that if I reboot a device, all its interfaces will go down. I don't need to get an alert for that if I have administratively put the node in maintenance mode.

The same goes for the groups it's in. If router X is in Group A, I don't need alerts from Group A saying that the status of the group has transitioned from Up to Warning to Down. The Group status needs to observe its members' status and if a member is in maintenance mode it should ignore any changes in state.
