While I am rather new to SolarWinds, one feature that seems to suffer from spotty integration is the ability to export to CSV format globally throughout the SolarWinds universe. Yes, it is an option on certain pages/data sets, but conspicuously missing from certain pages; specifically the Network Sonar Discovery Results page, for example.
Given the license limitations of various SolarWinds products, it would be exceptionally useful to compare and contrast datasets before actually integrating said data into the underlying database. This would ensure the integrity of the existing dataset already imported into SQL and avoid overwriting data unintentionally. It would also allow for statistical breakdowns of systems in large environments aiding with budget analysis (re: licensing), db corruption mitigation, archival and historical data analysis and change management.
Essentially, a globally available export to CSV would add tremendous value on a number of fronts to the entire SolarWinds product line, merely by extending an existing feature within SolarWinds. Yes, such a feature could be leveraged against the SQL database behind SolarWinds, but that takes value out of SolarWinds and tosses it into Microsofts camp, and requires a much better understanding of SQL and the database structure, which in my opinion, should remain behind the scenes.
