Document Network Atlas macros and enable referencing custom properties

I feel like there is a significant amount of value to be had in the network atlas, but so far it seems like I'm hitting a dead end with regards to custom properties that can be used.

For example, I can reference ${Status} under basically any map tooltip at Orion/NetPerfMon/Resources/EditMapTooltips.aspx , but none of this is documented. In addition, when I'm making my own custom properties I'm unable to get them to show up on hover/tooltips. So, I'm creating a FR accordingly (unless proven otherwise).

designerfx , I agree, it would be useful to have all of these documented. It would also be very useful to have it support variables just like we can use within Alerts. This would cover almost everything…

I spoke about it with tdanner as he referenced core-bugs but never checked if it's changed. Doesn't look like it's changed, sadly.
