Our Orion Environment has become the "Source of Truth" for our network infrastructure. Our CMDB pulls basic device information from Orion.

You would think oh easy, right? If the environment where pure Cisco, then everything would be easy but our network is Not pure Cisco! So this simple request is not at all easy. Through a lot of UnDPs and some unique alerting I am able to provide the simple things like Model and Serial Number.
My Request to expand the custom poller to include not only CPU and Memory but things model and serial number. And then store that information in one table that could then be use for reporting and SIMPLE SQL queries. The Node view would be perfect as that view also includes custom properties. So every platform Cisco or not, could have at least a base inventory. I am sure there are other common fields that would be needed by others but as this is all about me. . . This type of expansion would allow for the start to supporting Non-Cisco Platforms, which seem to be very slow for adoption by SolarWinds
Basically - If I can supply an OID for serial number and model, I would think I should be able to to use that as a custom poller. (Again yes I know I can get it via UnDP)
