Create Thwack IRC room

You can always Splunk the IRC logs.................

this would be an awesome tool.  Much faster communication with a larger group then emailing back and forth.  Please add. 

As the new thwack Product Manager (PM), I really like this idea. It's something I've been researching and discussing because to wluther's point, we want to make sure we have the ability to properly document and store the content that would come from something like this. Baby steps....but keep the ideas coming! I love to hear them. :-)

I think the biggest negative aspect this would create, would be data retention (says the guy who started this idea).   It could definitely provide quick answers to questions, but would probably require more work to properly document those questions/answers for future reference.  Although, it could simply be deemed a "social" thwack area, solely for common chit chat, redirecting all official questions to a thwack search...

If there was a Thwack IRC chat, i might not ever get any work done. :-)

Perhaps just a web chatbox would suffice?  If it was IRC then only certain people could use or I suppose there's a way to have one do both perhaps?
