I'm not a SQL guru. I'm not even a heavy duty SQL user. I know that Solarwinds slams SQL like nothing else in my environment. Yet I would rather have a root canal than go mucking about with SQL. I would love to see a feature - perhaps under Settings - Getting Started, that would give me the overall size, health etc of the Solarwinds databases. The Settings-Details-Database details only gives an overview of the Orion Database, and does nothing to tell me if maintenance needs performed on this critical component of Solarwinds. I know there are maintenance items that should be done on this database - but again due to little interaction with SQL. it will take me a few hours to dig up what I need to do to tune SQL. I'm sure that I am not the only Solarwinds user without a DBA at hist disposal. A 'Click here' to tune the Solarwinds database would be awesome!!!
