Assigning custom property during Network discovery

Hi Team,

I would like to assign a custom property for the nodes discovered via Network Discovery..

It will help to track bulk nodes addition for alerting and reporting when there is no similarity in their name pattern.

  • It would be nice to have those custom properties be set in the Network Discovery job setup. I have a job per remote site, and would like to have the Engineering number of that site added to the node. Currently, I have to go and edit each and every node once discovered.

  • Agreed. This would be a huge help as we have a lot of alerts, applications and such that are built to automatically apply based on custom properties we have assigned to the nodes. It would great to have that taken care of as part of the discovery instead of having to go find those nodes afterwards and assign them.
