Add Disk I/O collection option for SNMP polled Devices.

I know that it is possible to add a Universal Device Poller to collect Disk I/O information, however, there is no easy way to do this and display the information with the correct disk label.

I suggest Disk I/O should be added as part of the Standard data collected for SNMP poller devices if it is available.

I have seen several posts for users wanting to collect Disk I/O.

This information isn't available via SNMP with the minor exception of some Linux distributions which support the UCD-DISKIO-MIB. Unfortunately the IOPS information made available in this MIB is only for physical disks, which do not map back to logical volumes monitored in Orion. In fact, there is zero information to my knowledge in SNMP that would allow you to map logical disk volumes to physical disks.

Although SNMP is not compatible with most Disc I/O monitoring needs or solutions, can you use WMI information to see the same thing?

I have not seen that, I have the agent installed on our systems and do not see Disk I/O stats.

It doesn't need to be for Volumes. I should discovery it based on the different common MIBs used for Disk I/O.

You will find that information located on the Volume Details page for each disk volume you are monitoring on the node.

I love the idea, but I've got the Agent installed on my pollers, and when I look at a monitored volume, I see no information.

Digging a little deeper, when I edit that node, which lives in VM world, I found this message:

Which explains why I see nothing below.  I have a little more work to do before I can get this data showing.
