Network Atlas is being deprecated. Feature requests for Orion Maps should be submitted in the Orion Platform Feature Requests

A tool is needed to be able to actively monitor which database Network Atlas is connecting to

Here is a configuration:

Production side - 1 Core Server running NPM, NCM, UDT, and NTA, 6  Additional Polling Engines, 1 Additional Web Server, 1 Physical SQL database.

Disaster Recovery - DUPLICATE CONFIGURATION

I was asked by a fellow Solarwinds Admin this morning if we had ever tried using Network Atlas on the DR side.

I logged in over there and did not have any trouble creating a map and saving it, and then viewing it later in Orion Web Console on that side.

On each side I am able to login to Web Console, pull up Database details, and see each side talking to its own database.

I contacted Solarwinds support and worked with an engineer, as I wanted to know if in fact that was any way that a Solarwinds Admin could tell what database Network Atlas was hooking into real time.

The fear being that was if somehow the DR side Network Atlas was launched and hooked into the production database.

The engineer was gracious and indicated that we did not have that visibility.

The engineer also suggested that I submit this feature request.

Any customer whom has a Production side and a DR side would be able to benefit from this tool.
