Cisco IP Accounting

The following UNDP set can be used to display IP Accounting information using SNMP instead of having to connect to the router and execute the show ip accounting command.

 

Netflow Traffic Analyzer is a much better solution.

 

it  uses Object identifiers outlined in the OLD-Cisco-IP-MIB

  • The only way to display the data is to use a tabular universal device poller.  Unfortunately there is no way to historically report on this data.  NTA would give you the historical usage reports.    This undp is no different to connecting to a router and issuing the sh ip accounting command.  Its not the most elegant of output but solved a problem for me.
