Having problems trying to move from snmp v2 to v3 (all cisco routers and switches). Here a list of the steps i took. Please let me know if i am missing something although it seems pretty straight forward
1/entered in snmp v3 info on node
snmp-server view ORIONView interfaces included
snmp-server view ORIONView internet included
snmp-server view ORIONView chassis included
snmp-server view ORIONView system included
snmp-server group MyGroup v3 auth read ORIONView
snmp-server user xxxx MyGroup v3 auth md5 xxxxx priv des56 xxxxx
snmp-server host x.x.x.x version 3 priv xxxx
2/entered same info in NPM did a validation test and it came back successful.
3/go to list resources and NPM hangs on the 1st interface, if it does eventually get to the resources screen it is blank
