list resourses on routers

We recently up-graded to Orion NPM 10.2 and since have not been able to list resourses on router with a large number of interfaces. No problem listing routers with less than a few hundred interfaces.

The task times out the the following pop-up appears.

Script:170.x.x.x/.../ext-all-pluss-jguery_adapter.js.i18n.ashx

go to orion polling setting and try adjusting the snmp timeout to a larger number.

switches with huge amounts of interfaces are usually very busy and SNMP is low priority when the switch has to decicide whether to answer a SNMP request of figure out where to send the real traffic

  • Hi,

unfortunately I have to admit that version 10.2.X has known issue with "List Resource" and node which has a lot of interfaces (approx. around 1000 and more). There's no exact number, because it depends also on browser and client performance.

In this version there's not workaround, and the only way how you can add such node is via Discovery.

We fixed this issue in coming version 10.3 which is now in Release Candidate phase and you join to our RC process.

    Thanks
