Hi
we have several branch offices which are connected over mpls or vpn. Most of the MPLS offices have Primary and Backup line and two Routers with HSRP. So my questions is how can i monitor without SNMP Access to the Routers(Provider owner) which Router is active and which is Backup.
I thought i can do it via tracert and if the last hop before our firewall changes i can generate an alert but i dont know how to implement traceroute to NPM.
Does anybody has another idea how to get this solved?
Antother questions i have is can i do via TCP Monitor check if telnet is up and running and scan for a specific text string in it like in the HTTP Monitor?
