Why the lack of support for AIX servers?

All of our AIX (version 05.03.0012.0001) servers that we have in Solarwinds are not reporting the proper CPU. For example if I do an snmpwalk against the 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.3 which is the object identifier in the host resources mib, I get:

Solarwinds at the same time was reporting CPU on this server as: 55%

I have read post after post from other users complaining about the lack of AIX v5.3x support and AIX support in general. Why is this?

I do not want to have net-snmp installed/compiled on this server.

You can create a UnDP to display and chart them, see here for more info. Beyond that, what other issues are there?

Brandon, if I download MRTG I would expect to do a lot of manual work.

If I pay thousands for a product (10's of thousands in my particular case) I expect it to do a lot out of the box. Otherwise, what are you paying for?

If I was using Fred's Fabulous Print Server that I bought off of Ebay for $1.99 I would expect to have to use UNDP.

AIX is pretty common.

It's more than a multiple CPU issue, as none of my readings gave what Solarwinds was reporting as 55%. It's like Solarwinds is grabbing the wrong cpu value (maybe user% or kernal%)?

I am able to get CPU on all my AIX systems with out an issue, its % memory used, and reporting of memory in general that I am having an issue on.
