Various problems with NPM

What is the polling interval for the nodes and interfaces?  The default is just to do the basic response test every 2 minutes, stats like cpu/mem get every 10 minutes, interfaces are 9 minutes, and volumes are 15 minutes.

Keep in mind that even if the default values here are normal someone might have gone in and made one-off changes on the edit node screens, so if you aren't sure I would encourage you to uncheck the lock custom values option and re-apply the defaults.

Thinking of other possibilities to be sure, your devices aren't using snmpv1 right (it doesn't allow for get bulks so could make things worse)

Any chance that someone has set up any kind of custom UNDP pollers for your switches?

I have seen this behavoirin the past, and it's been a syncronization problem with the database of nodes used by User Device Tracker and the main database itself.

basically the process is:

- stop all of the services

- copy the *****blank.sdf file over the top of the ******sdf file in the directory -- I normally look for all 'sdf' files on the server as I can never remember where they all are and solarwinds development is somewhat untidy about file locations .

- start all of the services

the services will repopulate the (now empty) sdffile with current nodes from the orion database when they start up.

My files were located at C:\ProgramData\Solarwinds in case anyone in the future should need this.
