VMware ESXi version 4 does not show CPU / Memory / Volume information

Hi Ravi,

In NPM 10.0, we are using both SNMP and API to poll information from ESX servers. And support for ESX 4 is only added in this version.

The ESX 3.5 in my test environment are showing CPU, Memory, Volumes, Interfaces and of course ESX related resources when monitored via NPM 10.0

Thanks, ESX works for me too. I wanted to monitor for ESXi (---i---) version.

I'm running VShere 4.0 with ESXi and Orion 10 on 5 blade servers

It gives all the data for your VM's.

To get info about your host, you must manually configure in SNMP

communities.vmware.com/.../1378752;jsessionid=01D8D88E55D18BE6051D77A751387708

We just built an enterprise VMWare ESXi 4 infrastructure and have Orion v10 monitoring it using both SNMP and the API.

Byron, you are able to see the CPU, memory and Volumes of the ESXi hosts?

If so that is good news and I'll be scheduling my upgrade to Orion v10 next week.

Yes, I am able to see all of this. 

I should also note that I virtualized both of my Orion pollers and the two of them are running great sharing a resource pool of only 750MHz of one core of one CPU.

I followed the guide referenced from above, and I get no CPU, memory, volumes displayed...only thing I get are a list of network interfaces installed.  I have verified that SNMP is working, and so is the API on the actual ESXi 4 hosts in question.

I upgraded to Orion v10 today and did notice the added ESX poller option that requires the ESX creditials. I have added one of my ESX hosts here and I get alot of great information such as list of VMs running on this host, CPU util of host, Memory util of host and Network Interface util, but no data on disk volumes of the host. There is a section but it is just blank. See the image below. Can you post an image of what you are seeing for disk volumes on your ESX host? Thanks.
