VMWare Hosts False Reboots

Our VMWare admins are complaining that Solarwinds NPM is falsely alerting reboots of their hosts. We have an advance alert that looks for a change in the Last Boot to recognize a reboot and in Orion it shows that it has changed but the VM admins swear their hosts are up and running.

Anyone else had this issue?

I did notice that in APM4.2 there are several VM stats that you can poll.. I picked up the system.uptime.latest
It gave me a weird statistical value.. anyone ever tried this? what happens when a vmware host reboots? does that host reset to zero?? how would i write an reboot alert for that??
