UnDP indications

I want to display the status of my UnDP in various ways. But I have only managed to make a graph of my value.

I would also like to have either a light (circle icon) with various color stages ( gray, red, yellow, blue etc.) or even a gauge.

The UnDP config tool allows me to place Chart or Gauge in the web view.

Gauge placeholder is generated for the node but are never showing values, Charts placed and plotting nicely :-)

Upper placeholder is suppose to be Gauge

Lower placeholder is a chart ( obviously)

The config behind the two or both pointing to the same poller, see below

Any ideas ?

One option for you if you have SAM and don't mind reinventing the Universal Device Poller as a SAM component monitor...you would only get red/yellow/green icons to leverage down/warning/ up thresholds though:

Sorry @d09h , dont have SAM.
So does NPM really not offer a icon that indicates on/off, false/true up/down for UnDP checks?

Nothing native that I'm aware of.
Via UDP transform you could turn a UDP result from numerical into text (read about enumeration to map values). Regarding use of icons, possible via SWQL. Nothing easy that I'm aware of that avoids SWQL if you want icons.

Only thing I can think of is to check and see if you are keeping historical data for your UnDP. If this isn't selected, you won't get proper results in graphs or gauges. Another thing that could impact this is several of the options under "Advanced Options" on your UnDP. What is your MIB Value Type set to? SNMP Get Type? Unit?
Unfortunately, I'm with the other gentlemen when it comes to solving the icon issue; only way is through some clever SQL or SWQL.
P.S.
Fun Fact: SWinds' Trap Viewer rules allow you to have an Alert Action that changes the status of an interface. This same action is not available in the Advanced Alert Manager, unfortunately. But you can tell it to send an SNMP Trap.

...looks like I will need to put this on hold until I have more time to dig down into more detail and study SQL and/or SWQL.
Was hoping for a quick fix, but you cant always expect those :-)
