Report Writer & Custom MIBs

I'm trying to use Report Writer (v8.0) to create a report which outputs the current status of some Custom MIBs, however I've been unsuccessful in my attempts so far. I am trying to get Report Writer to return something like this:

NodeName CustomMibName CustomMibStatus

So far all my attempts have resulted in zero query results. Any pointers would be appreciated!

I even opened a ticket and was told that 1) this was a bug in the current version and 2) when I was notified that it was fixed, the fix they linked me to was for Cirrus and not for Orion.

I would also like to see the output from the Custom MIB poller be used for reports as there are a number of items I can use that form.

I looked into the ticket you referenced and there was a mistake made on our behalf. This bug was not addressed in 8.1 but is slated for a future release.

I managed to get the results I needed by using the Advanced SQL Reporting features. Here's the SQL command if anyone else wanted to hack it to meet their own needs:

SELECT Caption, CustomPollerStatus.Status, CustomPollerStatus.DateTime FROM Nodes LEFT JOIN CustomPollerAssignment ON Nodes.NodeID = CustomPollerAssignment.NodeID LEFT JOIN CustomPollerStatus ON CustomPollerAssignment.CustomPollerAssignmentID = CustomPollerStatus.CustomPollerAssignmentID WHERE CustomPollerAssignment.AssignmentName like 'TotalAmpsInUse%'
The above will search for a Custom Poller called "TotalAmpsInUse" and list out the hosts that are using that Custom Poller, as well as the current status and last status update.

could you or someone explain how to get such a SQL query into solarwinds i want report node uptime against actual MIB uptime.
