Received Errors on Interface versus CRC Errors This Hour

Hello,

We are attempting to create an alert that will notify us when any interface on any switch at a particular location experiences CRC errors. Attempting to use the "CRC Errors This Hour/Today" function results in no alerts on any node/interface despite us creating significant CRCs to test (well above the threshold for our alert). This even occurred when we tried to make an alert in conjunction with a Universal Device Poller query with an associated OID- no CRCs detected on interfaces that had a lot of CRCs.

However, we then modified the alert to the less specific "Received Errors on Interface" and it did immediately begin alerting, even though the errors in question were exclusively CRCs.

Does anyone know why this occurred, and how we can successfully narrow down our alerting to only react to CRCs? Our perfect alert would tell us any time an interface reached 100+ CRCs in that particular building, so we can investigate.

Thanks!
