We are using NPM and Orion for alerts in our environment. I have dependency groups setup to prevent "node down" alerts on nodes that depend on a main router at a site. This seems to work most of the time, which is great.
Now, we also have alerts for high latency. What I am wondering, is if there is a simple way to utilize this dependency functionality for this is well. If a main router is experiencing high latency, this alerts us to a potential WAN problem. We don't need to know that the child devices also have high latency.
Is this possible? My understanding is that the dependency groups only work when the parent is down.
