Chart resolution smaller than 5 minutes from the web interface would be very helpful.

Allowing it to be configured like a custom polling time would be even better. That way 1, 2, 3, 20, whatever time range fits our environment and polling rate could be selected.

This is possible today.
You must change the query in the URL from 5M to 1M.

abapp202/.../CustomChart.asp
You can create a custom resource with this Sample Size as the default.
