PerfStack VM vs Node

Can someone help shed light on the PerfStack metric between Virtual Machine and Node?

I see this on both Windows and non-Windows systems.  If I use the Avg % Memory Used (node) I see high utilization.  If I use the Avg Memory Usage (Virtual Machine), I see a drastically lower utilization.

I am trying to understand the differences here.

Thanks.

  • The Virtual Machine Memory Consumption graph will tell you the memory usage of the VMs – the total displayed by this graph will be slightly different from the “Memory used” gauge, as this graph does not take into account the memory usage of the Linux kernel.
