Palo Alto PA-5200 power supply monitor

Jump to solution

Hello,

We have couple of PA  5200 firewalls that we would like to monitor it via Solarwinds but I see that we are not having any info regarding the power supply.

We already have updated our Solarwinds to 2020.2 version, but it is still the same.

Does anyone know how we can monitor the power supply for PaloAlto?

Thanks,

Alexa

If a PSU on the Palo Alto goes down it should have this in the logs. I can send the logs to SolarWinds via SNMP.

Hi

I think that the PA 5200 come with 2 power supply units. Can you configure that to send a syslog message to SolarWinds?

Yes, I can confirm that is coming with 2 power supply units, but are we do not get any information in our Solarwinds GUI.

You can configure to send syslog message but for power supply there are no info.

I was thinking that maybe there is an special SNMP SysObjectID for it. Does anyone knows something about this?
