Orion HA Multi-Subnet Deployment - DNS creation help

Hello guys,

Need your recommendations. We are trying to setup HA multi-subnet on our environment us but struggling how to setup the HA pool/DNS zones requirement. Basically we don't have a setup like this so our SAs are not sure where to start.

We have MS DNS and BIND. Is there a step by step guide on how to setup the DNS or BIND for Orion HA deployment? What are things that we need to consider?

I don't believe any documentation exists for bind updates, but since you guys use bind regularly within your environment do your admins have scripts that already push DNS info into bind from any windows hosts? I try to have solarwinds just fall into line with whatever process we already have in place and set up a script to do that on failover.

Hi, they informed me that they do use BIND for load balancing but didn't use TSIG keys. I'm not well versed with DNS so I can't answer some of their inquiries but I guess they need to implement the feature and then we can test it out on SW HA.
How about for Windows DNS? Is it just the same DNS creation process? I also saw other KBs talking about needed DNS permissions and that should be helpful.
