Network Scan Best Practice

I have designed my network scan jobs (new devices, and changes) to run 24/7 365 with the exception of business hours EST time Mon - Fri.  It seems that not scanning during peak application usage has helped with response time and general administration speeds.

I have started wondering if I should exclude scans while database maint occurs (our environment currently runs Midnights -2:30am)

I want to ensure the DB has the proper resources to complete its job.
