Network Atlas - Link to NPM Server

I'd like to know if the Network Atlas that we create is linked directly to the NPM Server? By that I mean is it stored physically on the Server? We recently had our NPM Server crash and I've had to rebuild it from scratch. Of course I don't have an Atlas created yet and I was hoping that since I have the Network Atlas software installed on my local PC, that I would also have a copy of the Atlas I had created saved here on my PC as well.

Is there any possibility that I might be able to find the map locally or is it gone for good?

I'm pretty sure it is stored in the NPM database. If your NPM server contained both the Application and the Database, you might be out of luck.

Well, I guess I'm somewhat lucky in that the database for the old system, and the actual install of NPM, were on two different servers.
We've made a backup of the original database, that is still available. I am not familiar enough with SQL to extract the info for the Network Atlas. Is there a way to do this?
