I have a network that terminates to a firewall, and NPM on the other side. I'm ping monitoring only to the devices. I see 137 being blocked and it seems to be originating from NPM. In NPM when I add a device I add it with IP then add a name so I can tell what the device is. My question is - do I need to add these devices to DNS and allow Netbios across? Or - how do I stop the NPM from sending NetBios to these networks? My firewall has always blocked it but its getting annoying seeing these denies.
