Our Solarwinds box which is hosted in AWS has access to Internet no blocks in Firewall.
We want to know what functionality apart from patching and Updates will be affected if we shutdown the Internet from the Solarwinds server.
Assuming that you are referring to specifically blocking outbound, this means you will not be able to monitor external resources (such as Azure or AWS instances) and will not be able to send alerts to other platforms like OpsGenie, Pager Duty, Slack, or Teams.
I'm sure you've already limited inbound traffic to only allow the addresses of authorized users/admins of the platform.
.. and thwack access, warranty info, NCM vulnaribility, upgrades, MIB-db status etc....
I wanted a list of URL's needed: https://thwack.solarwinds.com/t5/NPM-Discussions/List-of-URLs-needed-by-Orion/td-p/612754 as we have lists of ports required etc.
