${IP_Address} Variable not functioning in alert

HI All

I was wondering if anyone can help me out here, I am trying to get the following email alert to function

${IP_Address}

${StatusDescription}

Hostname: ${SysName}

${DateTime}

the output of which displays like

Unknown

Node status is Up.

these are reporting from some Nortel/ERS5000 switches, not sure if I am doing something completly wrong but all other variables are working

the actual Node Displays the IP in its properties from the NPM Web GUI...

I am a little confused here, id be grateful of any pointers

OK So after reading another thread on pretty much the same thing (http://thwack.solarwinds.com/message/28627#28627)

Hostname: ${SysName}
${DateTime}
changed to
${IP}
${StatusDescription}
Hostname: ${SysName}
${DateTime}
produces the exact result I want !!!
(yes I know I should have looked at all search results first, my bad...)
