Hi All,
How can we add the missing interfaces of CRS Routers on the List Resources? Please advise.
Thank you very much.
Regards,
Paulo
I am currently getting this issue when i run a SNMP walk on a node that is having the problem listing all resources and it only retrieves 15 SNMP values Such as 'name' 'location' but no interface details, when you do a SNMP walk how many values can you retrieve?
- run this walk on another router you have see what values you get back?
- check config between router1 and router2 ect and compaire the SNMP values is one getting all values?
- check via SNMP v1 and SNMP v2
A good tip : Is use a SNMP tool that isn't solarwinds related and do a walk on the node this will eliminate Solarwinds (my SNMP program is called Network Management / Network Monitoring / SNMP Monitoring / MIB Browser and its installed on the APP server) if you only get a few values back then you know its an issue with Config or could be version of software but id suggest gather details and log a ticket with the provider
I am getting the same problems with Fortigate Firewalls and ticket is open with Fortigate ill keep you posted. the above is just what i done
Hi Guys, Thanks for the reply. Based on the SNMPWalk result, the Interfaces are being displayed. Also, we checked again the List Resources for CRS-01, we found out that the interfaces are being displayed but after a few seconds it disappeared. Then, we've tried checking Manage Nodes and search for the Node (CRS-01) using Show Node and Show Interface again, interfaces are being displayed. The problem only occurred on List Resources.
As of now, the interfaces are still missing on the List Resources.
Do an SNMP walk on the device you might find that MIB isnt showing you the Interface indexes or their is a duplicate interface index. id suggest:
SNMP wallk
check you can see the indexes
if you cant see indexes log with vendor
Not sure if anyone is still having this issue, but I had one that I described exactly the same way. The fix I found is that someone had configured multiple Fortinet ports with the same snmp-index. Once I made sure all ports had unique indexes, the SNMP Walk worked correctly.
