How to License Reset work?

Hi to everybody,

do you know LicenseReset.exe tool? How it works?

SolarWinds suggested me to use this tool on a test server where I installed an old version of NPM (9.1) for adeguate pre-migration operation.

Is this desctructive for my server that actually work?

It isn't destructive to your server, and shouldn't change any of your data. What it does is simply resets your license so that you can use the same license key when you migrate your server. You will need to run the install on the new server, and it will ask you for your license key. It releases it from the old server so you can use it on the new one. I hope this helps you. :)
